Chic had barely touched her seat before she was up again.
That was Chic. Always moving. Always reaching for the next moment before the current one had fully landed.

She made her way to the bar — unhurried, unbothered — and joined the small queue waiting to order. The Planet Trendz Café hummed around her the way it always did. Low music. Soft light. The kind of atmosphere that made you feel like the night had already decided it was going to be a good one.
Dapper D watched her go.
Then he sat back. And went still.
Not the kind of still that comes from having nothing on your mind. The other kind. The kind that looks like peace from the outside but is something else entirely on the inside. He had been sitting with it since before they arrived — the weight of knowing. The quiet pressure of a vision that had already shown him exactly how this night was going to unfold.
He looked like a man trying to solve Planet Trendz's hardest riddle.
He was actually a man who already had the answer.

At the bar Chic waited. Patient. Easy. The Comet's Tears was worth it — it always was.
She turned — just slightly, the way you do when something pulls at the edge of your attention without announcing itself — and her eyes caught him.
He was already there. Already seated. Already something.
To her he was more than just another regular at the Planet Trendz Café. She couldn't have explained why. She just knew.
To him — she was alluring. Enchanting. The kind of presence that made the room feel like it had been rearranged without anyone touching anything.
Their eyes locked.
One second. Maybe less.
Then both turned away — as if the moment had agreed to stay small for now.
Chic ordered her Comet's Tears. The stranger was ushered to his table. And the café kept humming like nothing had happened.

She walked back to Dapper D and set her drink down with a smile.
"I know you don't drink so I ordered my favorite."
Dapper D looked up from wherever his mind had been. Nodded slowly.
"Let me guess." "Comet's Tears?"
Chic laughed — the kind of laugh that fills a room without trying. Dapper D smiled. The weight lifted just enough. Just for a moment.
They sat with it. The drink. The music. The easy comfort of two people who had always known how to simply be in the same space.
Unbeknownst to her — he had envisioned this entire moment before she had even stood up from her seat.

The waiter arrived with a smile that said he had delivered this kind of message before.
"I don't mean to be rude — but that celestial gent across from your table asked for your company. For you to join him at his table." He glanced between them warmly. "Truthfully — everyone wants you two at their table. It always seems like so much fun with you two."
Chic smiled. Turned to Dapper D.
Dapper D did not move.
For a moment he was somewhere else entirely — back inside the vision, walking through every detail, every face, every moment that had led to this exact second. The stranger across the room. The invitation. The nod.
He had seen all of it.
He blinked. Came back. Looked across the café at Trendy — one of the beings the vision had shown him long before tonight — and nodded.
Not because he needed to approve. Because he already knew what came next.

The time that followed was easy. Warm. The kind of conversation that doesn't feel like a first conversation at all. Chic and Trendy moved through words the way old friends do — discovering each other and recognizing each other at the same time.
Dapper D was present. Composed. Saying what was needed and nothing more.
He already knew how the night ended. He simply let it arrive.
When the moment came, it was Chic who suggested it.
She wanted to show Trendy the Celestial Luminary. The place where it all began. For the first time — together. The three of them.
Dapper D walked Behind them in the distance.
He did not need to be shown the way.

When they arrived Dapper D let them do their thing — just as it had been foretold.
He walked slowly toward the hilltop. The familiar ground beneath his feet. The familiar sky above. But tonight it felt different. Heavier. The vision was no longer something ahead of him. It was happening. Right now. In real time.
He looked to Planet Trendz. Hoping — just this once — for a few words of comfort.
Planet Trendz stayed silent.
He turned his gaze to the moon instead. And held it there.
Slowly — breath by breath — the stillness returned. Not because the weight had lifted. Because something deeper than thought already knew there was nothing to fear. All he had to do was hold the space. Be still inside the moment. Let it unfold exactly as it was always going to.

Then — laughter.
Loud. Bright. Echoing through the Celestial Luminary like something had just been set free.
He turned.
Chic and Trendy were running toward the ship — laughing — full of something that looked like the beginning of everything.
Dapper D watched them go.
A single bead of sweat traced slowly down the side of his face.
Not in fear.
In anticipation. In remembrance. In the full knowing of what was coming next.
His meeting with the woman of fire.

From that moment his mind was hers — without her even being there yet.
Her radiance. Her fiery glow. Every ember he had seen in the vision sparking something in him that he hadn't expected. Not nervousness. Not fear.
Curiosity. Pure and quiet and deep.
He wanted to know more. Wanted to confirm what the vision had shown him. Wanted to understand — up close — what it meant to carry a fire like hers.
But Planet Trendz offered nothing. No words. No signs. No comfort.
Because it had already shown him everything he needed to know.
The Celestial Luminary stayed silent.
His gaze returned to the moon. Steady. Unbroken.
His continued gaze upon the moon spoke volumes. Planet Trendz took stock of it all without uttering a word.
The silence was loud and deep. 🌙
